Click in palette to select the kind of node to insert into canvas. Clicking in the background of the palette will clear the selection.
Click in background of canvas to insert selected node from palette. When no node is selected in the palette, a click in the background of the canvas will not insert a new node.
Click on a node label to select a node and allow editing the label. You can also select a link coming out from a decision (diamond-shaped) node and edit the its label.
Drag from the midpoint of either side or the bottom of one node to another node to draw a new link between nodes. Otherwise you can select and drag a node by its icon. At most one link may exist between any two nodes in one direction.
Another way of creating a link from one node to another is to press the "Select Two and Make Link" button. This puts the canvas in a mode where you can click on a node for the start of a link and on another node as the destination. The actual port chosen as the destination port is the one that is closest to where you click.
